Dust to dust, ashes to ashes, the sleepless to the living room. For it makes no sense to roll in bed when one is not ready to turn in.
In fact, I can’t help wondering why they call the third shift “The graveyard shift”. When you stay up all night, in the end, nearing dawn, it feels as though you have attended a viewing. Unless you have spent the night at a disco. Then, in the end, before you even get home and crash, it feels as though you were the deceased. And if you have drunk your soul away, things tend to get even bleaker.
